Every year families across the country gather together to watch fireworks light up the night sky in recognition of our great country’s founding on July 4, 1776, the day the United States laid down its claim to be a free and independent nation through the Declaration of Independence. Oklahoma has an incredible fireworks selection throughout the state, complimented with fun festivities for the whole family to enjoy. We picked out some of our favorite 4th of July activities to share with you. We hope you have a wonderful and safe Independence Day!

Rockets Over Rhema

When: July 1, 2018

Where: Rhema Bible Church – Broken Arrow, OK

Don’t miss out on the event that more than 50,000+ people attend each year at Rockets over Rhema. On July 1st enjoy the patriotic “Route 66: The Red, White and Blue Tour” musical, more than 10 varieties of food trucks, live music, car shows, and other activities for the whole family. Grab your blankets, lawn chairs and watch one of the largest firework displays in the area.

Grand Lake Fireworks 2017

When: July 3, 2017

Where: Disney, OK

This 7th annual celebration is known as one of the most water accessible fireworks show and wouldn’t happen without contributions throughout the community. Starting at 9 p.m. watch fireworks blast off on the water between the Spillways in Disney.

Folds of Honor Freedom Fest

When: July 4, 2018

Where: Veterans Park, River West Festival Park and along the Arkansas River

One of the largest firework displays in the U.S. takes place in the center of the Arkansas River. There will be activities for both the kids and the parents at Folds of Honor FreedomFest. From free inflatables, laser tag, pony rides, face-painting and more at the HollyFrontier Tulsa Refinery Kids Zone, to live music and food trucks for the parents. Look for a special aerial flyover by the 125th Fighter Wing Oklahoma Air National Guard – The Tulsa “Vipers” – 6:30 p.m.

Boom Fest at Riverwalk

When: July 4, 2018

Where: Los Cabos – Jenks, OK

Looking for the one of the largest firework display in Tulsa county? Grab the kids and enjoy a day full of fun events and music at Riverwalk’s annual Boom Fest before leading up the big show at 9:45pm. Live performances and activities start at 2 p.m.

Bricktown 4th Fest

When: July 4, 2018

Where: Oklahoma City

Enjoy the biggest fireworks show in OKC, where cars line the streets, and folding chairs dot the sidewalks as residents gather for miles to view Bricktown 4th Fest one of the most popular July Fourth fireworks displays in the city. Starting at 4 p.m. in the Boathouse District, enjoy food trucks, local bands, and lawn games such as cornhole, badminton, bocce, and volleyball. Live music at the Downtown 4th Fest kicks off the festival around 7 p.m. and the fireworks display begins around 9:45 p.m.
