Core aeration
The best time to aerate warm-season turf is during the summer and early fall. Cool-season grasses such as fescue and bluegrass are best aerated during fall, especially in conjunction with overseeding.

Flea & tick control
Many customers with pets have us add this service 2-3 times during late spring and summer to help cut back on flea & tick problems. Please read our page on lawn insect problems for more information.
Mole Control
We can offer a season-long Mole Control Program, which guarantees control of moles during the entire season. With this new service, we’ll set baits every time we see mole activity at the time of your regular treatment, and follow that up every 1-2 weeks until the mole activity ceases.
Visit www.talpirid.com for more information about our Mole Control Program.

Turf disease control
Turf diseases are usually cased by different fungi, many of which favor warm, humid, wet weather. We can also design a custom preventative fungicide program, where we apply two fungicides during the time when turf disease is more likely to occur in your area.
See our page on lawn diseases for more information.
Fire Ant control
Fire ants are especially troublesome pests in many parts of the south. We can prevent fire ants with a granular application of Top Choice Insecticide, along with treating the existing mounds. Early spring and fall are ideal times to apply Top Choice Insecticide.

Cool-Season Grass Seeding
Overseeding or complete renovation is important in fescue, bluegrass, and ryegrass lawns. Cool-season grasses are clump-type grasses. Therefore, when they thin out due to disease, insects, summer heat, etc, they need to be re-seeded in order to establish a thick turf. Most cool-season grasses do not spread out and recover like warm-season turf. In most cases, seeding is best done in early to mid-fall.
"Primo" turfgrass regulator
With Primo, you should be able to keep up with mowing much easier, since the grass grows so much slower, while looking denser and greener also!
Weed-control in Ornamental beds
We can apply a special granular pre-emergent called Snapshot into your flower and shrub beds in early spring and early fall to help prevent many grassy and some broadleaf weeds from germinating. This will not control nutgrass and other sedges however. During the summer, we also apply a special liquid product called Fusilade, which takes grassy weeds such as crabgrass and even bermudagrass out of beds. With a 3 or 4-step Bed Weed-Control Program, we can really decrease the amount of hand weeding necessary in keeping weeds out of your shrub beds. Proper mulch levels are also important in preventing weeds in beds.
Perimeter Pest Control
We can prevent many insect pests from entering your home with this important service. At the same time we do a regular lawn treatment, we can apply a band of both liquid and granular insecticide around the entire perimeter of your home. The liquid treatment is also sprayed up along the foundation, along door and window entrances, and other possible openings in your home. Although not perfect, if this treatment is done consistently, it will prevent many bugs from bugging you! Many customers will have us do this service 3-4 times during summer and into fall, when insects can be more of a problem.
Grub control
Many cool-season grass especially will benefit from a timely treatment of grub control, since they can severely damage the root system of cool-season turf.
Please read our page on lawn insect problems for more information.
Soil pH adjustment
If your soil is to low (acidic) lime needs to be applied. High pH soils (alkaline) need sulfur to bring the pH down. In most cases, several treatments during one or two seasons will be needed. In some areas, annual application of lime are needed for the soil.
